How the Permit Drawing Process Works

  1. Client provides a sketch, sample plan, or reference material
These items are used as a starting point for development into Ontario Building Code–compliant, permit-ready construction drawings.
  2. Preliminary drawings are prepared for review
  3. Client marks up changes and returns drawings
  4. Revisions are completed
  5. Final permit drawings are issued

Upon completion, clients receive a finalized PDF drawing set, Schedule 1 – Designer Information, and the Energy Efficiency Design Summary (EEDS), prepared for municipal building permit submission.

A Consistent, Proven Approach

All projects follow a standardized drawing format refined over nearly two decades of residential construction work. This consistency reduces review time, minimizes questions from inspectors, and helps projects move forward without unnecessary revisions.

Drawings prioritize clarity, constructability, and Ontario Building Code compliance — not design experimentation.
